| This group of pewter features a pair of oval serving platters with scalloped edges known throughtout Europe as having a "Baroque" edge along with two lidded pitchers of the "Walliser" shape which translates into English as a "belly jug". All of these pieces date to 1885 with the smaller pitcher having a distinctive stamp on its lid of a five petal rose below a crown with the initials "DJ" visible. |
